Pierre Matisse, grandson of Henri Matisse, to show art in Michael Murphy Gallery M in Tampa
This is Celebration Parisienne, an example of Pierre Matisse’s cut paper works inspired by his grandfather. Click for more of the story Lennie Bennett, Times Art Critic In Print: Thursday, May 28, 2009
I just started reading a giant biography of Matisse. I've loves his work for a long time.....and I wish I were in Tampa to see that exhibit!! His grandson's work looks like I'd also enjoy it.
I am Pierre's grandaughter and I would love for his intrest in family to be as strong as his intrest for his art. What beautiful work he does, truley an artist. If only he could express in his words as well as on canvas. Michelle
